The other thread is about what we're playing, so I looked
through what I had installed and realized I have a bunch of things
installed that I *intend* to play, and thus won't uninstall, but which
I never actually seem to find myself actually playing.
So what games do you have wasting space on your hard drive
that you can't bring yourself to uninstall, but which you just don't
seem to ever be in the right mood for? How many of you are weird like
me and do this?
I keep running out of room on my HD so I keep going through and
uninstalling everything I can stand to.
Oblivion - this is the only one that makes both the list of
'games installed that I don't play' and 'games i"m currently playing'.
I do play it, like for one sitting, like once a month, but its more
out of stubborness now than interest. I think I should probably just
uninstall it.
I've still got this one & S.T.A.L.K.E.R. installed, as I keep thinking
I'll go try some mods some day. The reality is I disliked Oblivion
quite a lot, so I'll probably never get over that and bother with any
of the extreme mods. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Maybe, I'll give it some more
time.
VtM:Bloodlines - I was just about to go back to that, but then I read
Werner is working on 4.8 with a bunch of new items ;) Of course he's
always working on something, so who knows when I'll get back to it.
Fallout 2. 'Nuff Said.
Oolite - well I loved Elite ages ago, but the game is just too slow
for my limited free time, I'll probably never get around to actually
playing this, as staring at a slowly growing circle for 30 minutes
isn't my idea of fun anymore. Last time I tried I think I fell asleep
and crashed into the planet.
Portal - Well I never did finish the extras. I keep thinking I'll go
back to it to do that, but probably not. I got as far as I could
without cheating, and I think that's satisfied me. It'll probably
come off next time I need space.
Halflife 2. - Haven't played episode 2 yet, but episode 1 was so weak
I'll probalby never get around to it.
Jardinains - Not playing it *now* but I come back to it every once in
awhile when I feel like knocking gnomes around.
Scorched 3d - I loved playing scorched earth with my friends. This
isn't as good, and my friends don't come over to goof around any
more. But it's small, so I leave it.
Neverwinter Nights & NWN 2 - There's always fan modules. I just wish
I could get NWN2 toolset to work. eh. From what I hear it's crap
compared to NWN one anyway. I've got a module I've never released I
put a lot of time into, it needs a lot more work, but I don't have the
patience for all the scripting I guess. I know what I want it to do,
just not how to do it easily. Due to having my own content I'll never
delete NWN. NWN2 might go though.
Temple of Elemental Evil - I've heard there's some good mods for this,
but I haven't been able to figure out how to get them installed.
Captive - Old game I used to love, too old now to really enjoy, but
it's there.
Wasteland - Well being such a Fallout fan I have to have this too of
course, but it's not very good in comparison.
Mame - Where else am I going to get my Rastan & Street Fighter fix?
Stronghold - oddly I liked the demo this was based off far more. It
could go.
Super Castle Attack - Hey this is the demo Stronghold was based off
of. Love it, not going away. I tend to play "Defend The Castle" from
Xgen studios (web flash game) more though.
The Ur-Quan Masters - It's an open source clone of Star Control II,
nice to play with now and again if I feel like a *Happy* *Camper*.
Good lord, all that is *After* I cleaned out everything.
Oh and Ps:T - which I installed yesterday, and discovered I still
don't like it. Possibly I like it far less than when it came out as
it I quit 2 times in one day in disgust (after the first time I
reconsidered as there wasn't anything else to do, and I thought I'd
give it a second chance, but no.) I really should give it to one of
my friends so they can enjoy it, since I don't.
