Like to get a 19" TFT monitor. Reading the specs I see most have a

to play older Windows 98 based rpgs. Will they look good or bad on a
5:4 screen?

Thanks, regards, Robert.

One of mine just displays a ~square active area smaller then the full
screen with a large black boarder rather then resize. Other seems to
resize to full screen but I can't check it right now. Both look superior
to CRT type monitors.

Also, besides letting the monitor handle the ratio, with nVidia (and I
assume ATi) you can have the drivers determine how the aspect ratio
scaling is handled.
