Re: Anyone here try the Spiderweb Software RPGS?

Are their rpgs worth the price? I realize they are old school
with dated graphics but graphics are not that important to me.
Any insight is appreciated. Please post replies to this group.

Like the other poster says... try them out! Personally I really like
them and consider them well worth the price. You can play a big chunk
of the game for free and the quality does not drop after the free
portion.

The Geneforges are smaller than the Avernums, if that's a concern.
Personally I prefer smaller games... the GF games are small enough to
actually finish! But if you want hundreds of hours of playing time, the
Avernum series might be more your scene.

Spiderweb games are generally well-balanced tactically, an important
part of the old-school CRPG that so often is left out.

If you like the Geneforge theme, I'd recommend starting with GF1 - it's
really good, one of those games that sort of knit together thematically,
and will leave you with a memory or three.
