| Ah... You must be having issues with port forwarding. I forgot about that
| little nugget, you have to set your router to allow a connection on the port
| uTorrent wants to use. Otherwise, you just get blocked.

Oops, may have spoken too soon... It looks like the web interface is for monitoring your uTorrent program, not bypassing it altogether... So the port forwarding issue will still be there.
What make/model of router do you have? Might be possible, I've had to find workarounds on a lot of routers in the past, so I may be able to give you some tips, if you are interested.

Look up your router there, and with a bit of luck it will have a walkthrough telling you how to set up μtorrent (It's listed under Utorrent, because μ is not a standard ASCII character).
