Yeah, but pure Feral build for soloing results in too little
mana to heal a group (I've been there). Not that this is
wrong, but the statement that soloing builds are good
enough doesn't quite hold.
coupled with appropriate
gear, will get you far past 40 as a decent healer.
Few people under max level keep around dual sets of
gear, one for instances and one for soloing. Maybe
some hardcore players.
Who criticises them? I don't understand this at all. I've never seen
anyone criticised for speccing prot, resto or whatever. More like, "oh
great, we've been waiting ages for a tank!"
This thread just criticized it! I've seen players say "I want to try
a melee only hunter, just for the challenge" and others will say
"wow, good luck" and some will even give advice on how to do
it.. But if a warrior or priest says "I'm going for a pure tank/
healer
build" suddenly everyone says "you'll regret it because soloing
will be hard." The voices that way "it'll be hard but here's how
to go about it" are few and easily drowned out.
