Re: Which online RPG?

Zero PVP interes (the odds of finding someone worse than me are slim).

Ahhh, you must have never crossed my path then. I am *** poor at any PVP.
:)

Just the other day I canceled my subs to WOW, Vanguard, Eve, Lineage 2,
Coh/Cov, EQ (2 subs there)and EQ2. As well as deleting all but CoH/CoV and
L2 (I dunno why, I liked the feel so I didn't want to deal with a reload of
them if I ever got interested again).

I reinstalled my GW and couldn't be happier. I'm not the biggest social
butterfly so when soloing its quite nice. No one to run in and KS, no drive
by guild/group invites, etc. The nice thing about the playNC account was
that I only had one of my installation disks and nothing for Factions. All
I had to do was download the client and install GW original, when I
selected a factions character the game auto loaded the Factions content, no
fuss no muss. To me a big thing is character movement/animation. I just
hate clunky movement. GW has a solid fluidity about it. The graphics are
quite good as well and my system doesn't bog down like so many other games.
A plus in my book for the instanced world.

I played a newbie zone in LOTRO and couldn't deal with it. My comp couldn't
push the graphics past a decent line. Vanguard was also a system hog,
although what I have read about crafting and such intrigued me. Oh well.

I agree with all of the statements folks have made about CoH/CoV. I played
for quite some time. But it always felt something was missing, (looting
corpses perhaps?) I just can't get myself to delete it though, guess I'm
holding out for something.

EVE, well, that confused the hell out of me. Never got far at all.

Lineage 2, I played it for a short time. I didn't 'not' enjoy it, it just
didn't grab me right off. Anyone have any experience with L2? Does it get
indepth? I haven't deleted it on account of I don't know if I ever gave it
a fair shake.

EQ/EQ2, well, I've been around EQ forever, not long after the release.
Unfortunately it had lost its zest for me sometime back. The community is
what kept me there for so long. So far it has been the community with the
least teenie boppers/*** talkers.

EQ2 seems to run slow on this system so I didn't delve far past the newbie
island. Anyone care to elaborate on this game? Decent? Not decent?

World of Warcraft..... where to start.... I was subscribed for years, lets
just say, when playing a game I shouldn't have to convince myself I'm
having fun. :P

If you haven't tried GW I say give it a shot. Pick up the original and get
yer toes wet. The no sub is a win win. It beats buying a $20-$50 game and
then paying another $15+ to play said game.

Good luck in what ever path you take.
