Not really that surprising since most people reading Usenet groups
like this are primarily doing so to get their reviews. Essentially,
we're all people who buy based on "word-of-mouth", so anyplace else is
at going to be secondary at most.
Interestingly, according to one study done not too long ago, the sales a
games gets has no corolation to the ratings it get in reviews. Apparently
there aren't many people at all who base their buying decisions on WWW
or print reviews. I think most people who read reviews are actually
looking for affirmation of an opinion of a game they already have.
