I agree. The combat isn't at all fun, at least as a pure fighter.
It's trivial to kill masses of humanoid enemies right from the
beginning, yet at level 40 I still have to be wary of a couple wolves.
There's just a sense of scale that's missing in this game. Did you
ever manage to lose an arena fight?

I put G3 down unfinished after about a month of play. There are a
lot of flaws, some you hit on, but if the combat was any good I could
overlook those. I've been wondering if maybe playing a mage/archer
type would be more enjoyable.
