Re: LotRO reinstall from DVD

which I want and I read on the LotRO FAQ somewhere that the game will
probably run more smoothly and stuff after uninstalling beta and
reinstalling from DVD. I just want to be sure I will be okay after
doing it. I've read quite a bit about it here but haven't found
anywhere that says it's the right thing to do. I'm loving this game.
I want the *BEST* out of it! ;-)

You don't really have to uninstall the game--or at least I didn't. I chose
the "repair" option, I think it was, which essentially seemed to me like it
reinstalled, anyway. At any rate, everything's ok and the game works great.
Of course, it couldn't *hurt* to uninstall/reinstall, so if that's what you
feel most comfortable doing, then I'd say go for it. I don't see how on
earth it could possibly hurt anything to do that--your account's tied up
with your key, and all your character info is on the servers so you couldn't
possibly "lose" anything.
