There should be an option in your browser that will save to disk instead

In Firefox that's Tools, Options, Downloads, View and Edit Actions, then
scroll to pdf, choose change action, and change from "use this plugin"
to "save on my computer" then go to that link again and it'll save
instead of opening it in the browser.

On mine it's actually Tools->Options->Content tab->File Types:Manage
button; then find Adobe or PDF & hit Change Action.

On Firefox or Opera (as I remember you using Opera?)

Switched to FF many months ago :) I'm on v2.0.0.3 btw.

Might just be a version difference if Firefox - I'm still using 1.5
since I've had no reason to get a newer version (if indeed there is a
newer one.)

Aha! Yes, there is. I couldn't live w/o the Mouse Gestures add-on - I just
wish I could get new tabs (using CTRL-T) to open *next to* the current tab -
something I liked in Opera, heh.

along. "RPG - The Accidental Genre." - markB 24/3
