I've been beta testing LotRO and will be purchasing the game. Don't
worry about net lingo, the LotRO community seems to not lean that way
and prefers to communicate in real English. The game is a lot of fun,
try the open beta that starts on 6 April, it's free.
Thanks for your reply
Ok and neat. I did join the Followers of Light yesterday and have
pre-ordered the game after reading your post and received
confirmation from Amazon,com.
But can not figure out how to get into the "Founders". Do you
have any ideas?
If you pre-ordered & are eligible for the open beta I think you
automatically become a founder. This means you can pay once off $200 for a
lifetime sub (never have to pay monthly again, but you have to decide to
get
this offer in the 1st mth), or, the reduced monthly fee of $10/mth
indefinitely, so long as you don't let your sub lapse.
Just dive in mate & don't worry about the lingo - enjoy!
We should all exchange charnames here (assuming we want to of course ;) -
I
may start a list soon after it goes retail. We could even create a csipgr
kinship (guild) if there's enough interest.

Well, as I hear it the RPG was only a genre because of the limitations
of technology at the time. RPGs were really trying to be FPSs all
along. "RPG - The Accidental Genre." - markB 24/3

Hi Nostromo
Hopefully I shall get a letter of greetings tomorrow as I joined through
Game Spot
well, I 'hope' I did get joined for the Beta.
Still do not have the Game installed or it's "client" ? Not sure how to go
about
getting the "client"? Can you please advise?

group
that has a 'hole' that needs filling by an beginner. <grin> Heck it is only
