Well, who says that all people play a game because it's challenging?

For me, most of the enjoyment I get from any game is enjoying either
real or imagined story elements that take place in it. Challenging
combat, therefore, is really, really bad for me; if I hit an encounter
that I can't get past, or a puzzle that I can't complete, then I can't
get on with the story, and if I can't get on with the story, I stop
playing the game. This is particularly bad with RPGs, but fight games
that contain stories -- Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, kind of, as
examples -- FPS', strategy games (although I tend to prefer to create
my own stories for those) and other types of games can all hit this
problem.

In fact, the people who call for the games to be "more challenging" and
complain that the games are too easy -- especially RPGs -- annoy me.
To me, the combat and puzzle elements are merely things for me to get
past to get to the REAL fun: the story. So making it too hard for me
to get past means I end up hating the game ... not a benefit, in my
opinion.

Are you not then playing the wrong type of game? Seems as if
adventure games with very simple puzzles are the right fit for you.
and download the cheat-*** for the puzzles.

Dreamcatcher publishes a bunch of them.
