I still find the game very disappointing in the content field, because

The gameplay per se is great though... if only they had put in some
decent questlines and decent characters...

I remember that one of the popular videos for God of War shows a player skipping all of the power-up chests and never upgrading his weapons, and overcoming every boss with only the default chain blades. ...
