That's life, dude. You live in a world where people can easily lie
without ever being factually inaccurate. In fact, I think our society is in the
process of redefining what a lie is because we've gotten so good at it. Folks
here are confused because we're, at this point, unsure what you're so upset
about.
Lying is one thing. Accepting the lie without even questioning it is
quite another. What kind of Orwellian world do we live in when a
company, government, etc. can tell you a bald-faced lie and no one even
has the balls or inclination to call shenanigans on them for it? Am I
supposed to apologize now for simply pointing out obvious discrepancies
between hype and reality? Forget that!
It's not like I think Oblivion is a bad game or anything. The game
itself is fun to play, if not as epic as its predecessor. But people
considering buying it should know that it's not perfect, and DOES NOT
deliver on many of the promises made. This is especially true for
former Morrowind players who are expecting it to top the incredible
accomplishment of the sheer scale of that game.
In this age of graphics over gameplay, it's pretty unlikely that we
will EVER again see a single-player game that can match the scale of a
Morrowind.
Miles and miles of empty space having no gameplay value whatsoever
isn't "scale," idiot. Try not to cry.
