Depends on what you liked about it. Not sure when Gothic 2 was
originally released, but that one was a great RPG with a very unusual

Why do I keep reading this? What was so unusual about it? I don't recall
noticing anything (althoiugh it was a while ago).

and different playstyle from most other RPGs. Single
character, 3rd person over the shoulder. Lots of freedom in how to
play... The main quest seems to be less linear than Oblivion.

Same with Gothic 1, but it's a bit older. Still a great game, though.

Gothic 3 is expected out hopefully this year, I think. It should be
running against Ob for game of the year, if it improves on Gothic 2.

I gotta say, great recommendation(s)!
