Oblivion - why do they bother to show keys in inventory?

They weight nothing and have no value so they cant be sold but everytime I
use my inventory I have to scroll through dozens of the damn things! They
should have done one slot with a drop down list so you can check what keys
you have if ever you have the strange urge to check.
