Oblivion - That vampire quest (long, with spoilers)

Hey gang,
Playing Oblivion, like most of you. I'm really enjoying the game,
so far completely ignoring the main plot line and just doing a
few quests here and there.
I went up to third level, popped back into the capital city and
rented a room at an inn to rest for the level up. My sleep was
interrupted, and it appeared that I'd been bitten in the night by
a vampire. New quest...cure my vampirism. Anyone find this quest
real annoying? I sure did...
So I go to the mage guild, and they send me to another city where
I chat with a guy who is a vampire, and in turn, he sends me to a
witch in the countryside for the cure. Naturally she wants
something, in this case, five big 'ole soul gems.
At this point, I'm starting to take damage from being in the
sunlight, and the fun factor is taking a nose dive. I poked around
the big city, but could only find one grand soul gem for purchase,
and had no idea where else to look. And with each passing rest,
I seem to be turning more and more into a vamp.
Flavor-wise, it's pretty cool, but I'm getting fed up with not
being able to move around during the day, so while I hate to do
it, up comes the console and I promptly put 5 grand soul gems into
my inventory. Back to the witch's house, and lo and behold, now
she wants a boat load of reagents, the blood of an Argonian, and
the dust from some wickedly powerful, ancient vampire.
This time I didn't hesitate. Up came the console again, and I
ordered up everything short of the blood, which I beamed back to
the big city for, knifed an Argonian, got arrested, paid the fine,
and beamed back to the witch's house.
I give her the goodies and she says it'll be 24 hours. Okay, I'll
wait. Unfortunately I'm trespassing in her little hut, so I can't
wait inside. But I can't wait outside, because it's 7:30am now and
I'm getting cooked by the sun, so I have to sit inside her hut and
wait 24 hours of game-time for her to come back.
But, of course, I'm trespassing, so even though she's been out for
the last 24 hours, working hard to make me a potion, the minute
she returns she starts attacking me. After loading from a previous
quick save, and resaving many times close to when she would return,
I got it timed just right so that I could step outside for just
long enough for her to go into the house, then I step back in after
her, whereby she is no longer pissed that I'm trespassing and
coughs up the cure potion.
Anyone else think this particular quest was weak? I mean, it was a
pain in the ass, and I was cheating just to get it completed. If
I had to actually find 5 grand soul gems, nightshade, garlic, some
other reagent, blood, and kill a vampire, I think I would have
turned into one permanently long before I solved it.
Oh well...hopefully the this is the only one of it's kind. What's
everyone else's opinion on this quest?
