There is a large PvE game, I thought that was common knowledge.

You feel it's worth me doing another try registering? I can always get
myself a new free email address somewhere and have another go at
registering.

Personally, yes, I feel the beta is worth a little effort to try and get
it
working. I have had a lot of fun with it, and it's a good demo of the
game.
The beta isn't really that buggy, despite Nostromo's problems with it.
I've
had it crash on me twice. I think they need to work on some of the mode
switching stuff, like when it switches from desktop to full screen, or
when
alt-tabing. But it's relatively stable. Gameplay is pretty fun, it's
definitely got a City of Heroes feel to it, with, of course, vehicles.

Can you crash _into_ buildings...literally? ;)

I just couldn't stand another 700Mb patch. I've deleted the install files
anyway. :-/

The 700mb is the game, not a patch. You must've downloaded the "lite"
installer, which then downloads the rest of the game. It's faster to DL the
700mb installer and then get the 60mb or so patch.

That said... my experience was pretty bad. The graphic representation of the
mouse just sits there for me - although I can still move it and point to
menu items, the cursor doesn't go where the pointer really is. Took 5
minutes just to set my options and log in. Playing in windowed mode fixed
this, until I got past character creation, where it happened again and
locked up windows hard.

Deleted. Scratched off my wishlist.
