Re: LOTR beta open at Fileplanet

>but if there were no queues for non-members, ever, what would be the incentive to join ?

Frankly, the only queues are usually no more than 30 minutes, unless it
is a hot download like a beta/trial. In that case is is easy to log on
when I am about to go to bed and leave the download running during the
night.

>Fileplanet isn't a charity run by gamers, it's a business

Don't bring up the real world, the majority of gamers act like stupid
children who expect everything for free.

>I understand why Mean Chlorine is frustrated

I don't. No one I know personally who uses Vileplanet reports anything
near the problems he is reporting, and I certainly have never seen
these in all the years I have had a free account. Either he is
incompetent to operate his computer or his net connection runs on
laundry cord across his backyard, there is no other rational
explanation for the problems he reports. Free content that costs him
no money is not free in his eyes because he has to avert his eyes from
advertising, that is really pathetic. Frankly, it all comes back to
the cry of the spoiled gamer: "I'm getting something for free and
THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH DAMNIT!"

There are too many people who think the world owes them a free ride,
including new computer games delivered for free on a silver tray along
with breakfast.
