I've never really seen Spam as being a true online version of
telemarketing, as it seems almost designed for you NOT to want to
click on the link/buy the product. Most spam I've seen over the years
could almost have been written by a rival software/drug/credit card
company to make their rivals seem retarded...

Telemarketing just makes you hate the person phoning.
