That should work just fine.
My father does something similar - he has both his old PCI128 card in
the system as well as the _better_ onboard sound.
I would have done the same except there's a flaw with my motherboard and
the output jack is buggered up - only get stereo sound when the jack is
part way in, once it's fully socketed in, there's sound on one side
only.
You should be able to set windows to route all stuff through the
existing card, but configure team speak to only use the onboard.
