I agree. I have an extensive collection of adventure games, and
they all work, even though most of the original manufacturers have

I believe that the activation is linked to a single computer. Buy a
new computer, and you need a new license key.

So can you download the game, burn it to a DVD and use it as many
times and for as many years as you want as long as you don't buy a new
computer?

I am not sure, since I haven't looked at the licensing agreement. Some
of them may be time limited for all I know.
