not mount the CDROM drive in the .conf file or manually. The needed line

mount E E:\ f\ -t cdrom -usecd 2 -apsi
where you put the correct drive letter for your system."

At that time I didn't really know what you meant because I thought I
only had to mount the C drive, so later on, when I mentioned about that,
Erimess said "thats the problem you also have to mount the cdrom drive"
so I guess when she told me that, I had forgotten about your above
comment from your message the day before. In other words, I was
confused about what I needed to do.

As an aside though, why would I mount E drive first then f: ? Why
wouldn't I mount the C drive first which is the drive I use most of the
time then the f: drive, which happens to be my case.?
I guess in your example above, you are saying if E was the hard drive
you were installing the game on, and using f: as a Cdrom, you would type
the above. As it happened, you were close in your example. Only the
letters were different and usercd was not necessary.

Looks like I made a mistake with the f\ which should not be there. Here is a quote from the readme file.

Q: My CD-ROM doesn't work.
A: To mount your cdrom in DOSBox you have to specify some additional options
when mounting the cdrom.
To enable the most basic cdrom support:
- mount d f:\ -t cdrom
To enable low-level SDL-support:
- mount d f:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0
To enable low-level ioctl-support(win2k/xp/linux):
- mount d f:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl
To enable low-level aspi-support (win98 with aspi-layer installed):
- mount d f:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -apsi

In the commands: - d driveletter you in DOSBox
                    - f:\ location of cdrom on your PC.
                    - 0 The number of the cdrom drive, reported by
                          mount -cd

Q: The game/application can't find its CD-ROM. A: Be sure to mount the CD-ROM with -t cdrom switch. Also try adding the correct label (-label LABEL). To enable more low-level CD-ROM support add the following switch to mount: -usecd #, where # is the number of your CD-ROM drive reported by mount -cd. If you run Win32 you can specify -ioctl or -aspi. Look at the description elsewhere in this document for their meaning. .
