Re: SUCCESS AT LAST

I just replied to Matt's message and thought I had
this straightened out, but it looks like what I said to
him was wrong.
No, you were correct enough - but you phrased it slightly
different in the other message.
mount Q: C:\
I thought the Q was to identify the Drive (such as
hard drive), and C:\ was to identify where the game
was going to go on the hard drive.
Now, when you put it that way, you're not *exactly* right,
but you're very, very close. ;D (Heh heh)
The Q and C:\ are two totally separate things, they're not
related. (Forget about the "game" for a moment)
Let me put it another way...
If you remember the DOS command 'copy', think of the
C:\ as the source, and the Q as the destination. When you
use the 'mount' command, what you are doing is copying
the contents of C:\ to Q:
(Sort of like a backwards 'copy' command)
So when you look at Q:\, you're looking at a copy of C:\
(if using the example above, of course)
And *that* is basically what the 'mount' command does
in DOSbox - it makes a copy of your HD and CD drives
to any drive letter you want (Q:)
In any case, as I mentioned in the other reply, it does
not really matter, so long as the game works. ;)
