That was a slight lie I told. I did very briefly try TR3, which I think was
the first to have save points rather than save anywhere, for the usual
reasons. I hated it instantly.
TR3 came out 10 years ago, right?
The games I am talking about are all from last two to three years and
were created by a different development team.
I didn't say anything about save-points though. It's sort of a genre
standard for platformers (going back to the original Prince of Persia,
which was brutal in that regard). However Legends and Anniversary were
not that troublesome, compared to some other titles like PoP:Two
Thrones. Of course if you don't like save-points at all for any kind
of game, then you should avoid PoP and TR series (except for may be
the last PoP game)
