My system specs: Intel E8400 Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB Corsair Dominator RAM, HD3870 Graphics card with CAT 8.11 drivers, and Vista Home Basic sp1 64 bit. If I choose DirectX 10, when I start the mission the load screen starts with no problem. However, once the game actually begins I get a blank screen but can still hear the sounds and dialogue. If I choose DirectX 9 the game plays with no problems at all. I did follow the suggestions from the technical support on the farcry2.com site but that still did not solve the problems. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Have you installed the Nov. 2008 update to Directx? Go to Microsoft and download dxwebsetup.exe, run that while connected to the internet and it will update to latest version.

Thanks for your response. If this is the update your referring to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en it appears that it is for version 9.0c or earlier. I did a search but couldn't come up with anything related to version 10.
