Re: Windows 7 ( er, I mean Vista R2 )

About 2 weeks ago, I uninstalled Vista Enterprise from my
Dell 490 workstation. I had just had it with the stupid nonsense.
I honestly tested Vista for nearly 2 years, and in all that
time, Vista locked me out of My Documents ( equivalent )
telling my I had no rights to my own work. I had to create
all kinds of workarounds to be able to access my own
work. I kept a folder on the desktop called "My Documents".
I have at least 100 hours in sitting there watching that
arrow go in a circle on my desktop while I waited for Vista
to finish reading my thumb drive. I duplicated the 40%
slowdown test with Aquamark3D over a year ago. The
article is right. Vista is pig slow at everything. I bought
NERO, but I was never able to write a CD or DVD. This
sad tale of non-productive use of Vista goes on and on.

Now, with XP SP3 restored, I feel SPEED. I can see it.
My apps work without lockups. I was able to move files
back into My Documents, and they are actually MINE.
My email works, and I did not have to buy software to
help me clean 5x duplicates of all my email for the
last 10 years. Aquamark3D is back to 180,000. I'm not
tormented by a UAC demanding 5 clicks where I now
only need 1. My RAID works. I can see spare room
on my hard drive. Notepad is now actually faster than
my 20 wpm typing speed. I'm going to ask Obama
to send Vito and Vinney around to have a little talk
with Bill.
