So not being a lawyer means, that I have to accept every stupid
exaggerated term, just because people want to be emotional?


If you can replace it with a more suitable term, we'll let you off. But the offense associated with downloading the game is not 'illegal downloading'. 'Copyright infringement' is a more accurate term, but the actual offense will vary from country to country.

However, 'stealing' is an entirely appropriate term; it conveys in a single, simple term that downloading and using other people's intellectual property with prior permission or licence is an offense in most countries - it is the theft of intellectual property.

Most people who argue against the term stealing are mindful of the 'stigma' associated with the term, and much prefer 'copyright infringement' because it somehow seems more excusable.

As I have said already, I have effectively stolen some music to which I was not entitled; I perfectly at ease with my actions, but I don't pretend that they weren't against the law, or try to minimise the implications through the use of selective language.
