I upgraded from a Geforce 6600GT on an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and while I first feared my 350 W Q-Tec power supply could pose a problem, everything is stable and most games that I could only run on low to middle before I can now run at high or maxed. Mind you I'm playing at 800x600 because my monitor is best there and it does look great with AA finally on full ;)! What made me do try it is this review and reasonable prices for the 3850:
