be more motivated to come back and pick up where I left off whenever I
get stuck or one of the stupid crashes occurs (it's done that about 4
times in the last 3 days).
Bummer, but no crashes here. Are you overheating somewhere? Warhead does have its moments when you don't know where to go. I've seen two so far - the one that you mentioned and previously in the hovercraft...
Would the game spontaneously exiting (windows itself left intact) be a
side effect of overheating? I haven't really been monitoring temps..
I always thought full system lockups were the side effect of that.

I believe overheating graphics cards or dodgy memory can cause CTD's as well as just crashing the whole lot like overheating CPU's do. I suggest this because (though I haven't done a search) its the first suggestion of a bug like this I've seen in the game. Unless someone knowledgable comes along (I'm not) its a Googling you must go.... what gfx card do you have?

Single 8800GTX. Looks like it's running about 83c during gaming. bad?


I now have an ATI but IIRC the 8800's normally ran at 80-90 during load without a problem...

Just noticed there are some helpfiles (including for crashes) in the following directory (yours may be slightly different.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis WARHEAD\Support\EA Help\en-uk
