Stalker CS crashes and enter areas

Well, after going through a series of crashes and enter area problems,
I found a few solutions. The places where there is an unrecoverable
crash are due to the quick save. Found this out the hard way by going
back to a full level save and slogging back to where the crash
occurred and no crash. It is kind of a pain but it is important to do
a full save anytime a major area has been completed or cleared. You
don't want the full save to lag far behind the quick save, since the
quick save can corrupt at any time.
It seems this game just gets kind of stuck sometimes, so areas don't
open up or it crashes trying to go to another area. This happens
trying to enter some areas later on. If this happens, I just go back
to the full save, then look for another way into that area. This has
worked for me several times, especially after the Red Forest and
Limansk.
The other slight bug is that some tasks have to be completed to
progress and the PDA doesn't show them as a flashing icon. In these
cases, if the same task seems to be stuck at the top of the PDA but
you can't figure out where to go to complete it, then follow the
yellow arrow on the HUD map. It will eventually lead you to that
milestone task. Completing these may all of a sudden make everything
go crazy, with a bunch of messages going off at once, but it basically
frees up whatever was stuck and the game objectives allow you to
advance.
