I'm not really far into it, but I think you'll find as you get to the
Garbage it starts feeling a little less structured and more like the
original game.

While I've shelved this to finish some games that I've had longer, I did get far enough for the game to start to feel more like Stalker. ... To Michael - you can of course always ignore them and explore at your leisure anyway. ...
