I guess if you're really into your games that may appeal. For me the enhanced version is about fixing the original. I'll be d-loading the 2GB patch. Witcher is an OK game but... why would I want all that tat?

Yes, that's my point as well. Those who care about box-contents will
get this new retail box, while those who don't can always get the
cheaper $20 Witcher and download the patch. Why would someone want to
download the expensive version over Steam then?


I certainly wouldn't. Steam has its good points but price isn't often one of them.

But that was my point to John. Not everyone cares about the additional tat and will just buy the game, whether that is through Steam or normal retail.
