I have Windows XP Pro. 32 Bit, with the pagefile set to single 1 Gig
fixed on a single drive only.
(I have been changing the setting to experiment.)
I have 3 Gigs of RAM.
Right at this moment ('in time', as they say) I'm writing this post in
OE on
the Desktop..
I also have CRYSIS minimized in the background where I'm about to go
back to playing it.
& a few odds & ends running.
Sooo why when I look in Task Manager does it show a 1.55 GB Pagefile
in use ??
My 1 Gig fixed set Pagefile has not been increased & there is no other
one
been created in the system.
Main Mem is shown as Total: 3144108 Available: 1446980 System Cache:
1619244
these last 2 values are varying a very little as I look at them while
typing.
I've just been & played CRYIS for a few mins & the Pagefile stayed the
same.
So where is this 1.55 Gb Pagefile in a Fixed 1 Gig setting ???

First thing that comes to mind is: Have you rebooted since your last
change? New pagefile size won't take affect until a reboot. What are
your limit and peak Commit Charge?
