OT: Good gaming router?

Hey guys... I have a Netgear router now, wireless and 4 wired ports.
I'm having issues with it sharing a wireless connection, as well as
hosting some games even with the proper ports open.

I've decided to just replace it, and I was wondering if there is a
favored router amongst the group. I'm leaning toward a Linksys, but
don't have any particular model in mind.

Here are my Netgear issues for those interested, though not necessary
to read before offering a recomendation...

Though I'm not using wireless for any of my PC gaming, my kid has a
Wii and I have a PSP. Noticed that once I set the Wii up for the
wireless, the PSP would no longer surf, even though I could see the
network and WEP was working properly. I went around and around with it
until a buddy of mine had a similar problem... He was trying to host
two XBox 360s on a Netgear and couldn't get it to work. Very similar
symptoms to mine. On a whim, he bought a Netgear and both 360's surfed
fine. My needs are a bit different, so I figured I'd still ask instead
of just getting the same router.

My other issue may be something I'm overlooking, but I just can't
figure out. I've been trying to host multiplayer STALKER matches
(direct IP, not dedicated) and people trying to connect to me keep
getting Invalid Host message. Whats odd is that everywhere I looked
for port info on STALKER shows the regular Gamespy port configuration.
I have them all in there, and still no luck. I'm either overlooking
something or getting bad info about STALKER's ports.
I'm able to host Halo and Unreal Tournament games fine, so this is
very possibly not a router issue at all. I'm hoping some of the new
routers come with pre-configured port settings. My Netgear is a little
older and the newest game in there is Quake 3.
