If you can play a *short* Civ game, you aren't playing it right ;-)
One time I sure wasn't. Barbarian hordes overran my cities 37 minutes into
the game. It was damn embarrassing (not that I'm an expert Civ player, but
I usually at least make it out of the BC years...)
