It's entirely on rails (which I dont like) but it also *feels* entirely on
rails (unlike, say, HL2). But I paid for it when it came out, so I might as
well use it. Unfortunately, there is a bug in it that doesn't like my
quad-core/6GB/8800GTS machine, such that after 5 or 10 minutes of playing,
the frame rate plummets to around 3fps(!). The only remedy is to save and
reload the game. Annoying, but I'm determined to give the game a fair go.
Unusually for these games, I've chosen to go to the hybrid magic/stealth
route on my first pass.
Really?
Check whther 4 cores is really the problem by CTRL-ALT-DEL to System
Manager and Set Affinity for a pair of cores, say 0 and 1.
