Yes, it's that time of month again. I tried to delay it a little bit
because, technically, we already *had* this thread this month (thanks
scubahsteve for making me feel useless! ;-), plus this was a short
month and all... but eventually I knew the thread had to come back.
So let's bypass the usual claptrap -wanted a thread about games,
yadda-yadda- and move on right to the meat.
I've been dredging the depths of things I haven't played through while
waiting for something new, and all I could come up with was some stuff
I had sitting there in STEAM. My wife bought me some shovelware Half
Life thing a long time ago, and I finally used it.
Half Life: Opposing Force
Half Life: Blue Shift. I talked to rob or someone a bit about this,
but these games have nice little puzzles in them that you don't see
much of in action games anymore. Its kind of nice to have a shootout,
then come to a calm part where you have to figure a little logic
puzzle out to progress.
Occasional UT3 Deathmatches with buddies on the weekends.
I'm actually dying for someone to say they like either Turning Point
Fall of Liberty or Frontlines: Fuel of War.
Oh yea... I've been playing Rainbow Six Vegas a little bit. Checkpoint
saves kind of turn me off. I have a young kid, and quicksave really
comes in handy when I have to bail quick.
