I've always enjoyed BestBuy. thats where I buy pretty much

I walked into my first Fry's when I was out west and I
thought I had
died and gone to electronic heaven. If you've never seen
one they're
like a Home depot for computer and game consoles crap

I like Newegg for online but if there was a fry's in my
area I would
never use Newegg again.

oh Bestbuy sucks

I use to go to CompUSA often for printers, ink and paper,
CD media software, and maybe if something like my HD drive
failed and I needed a new one right away. I never bought a
PC from them or had them repair mine. Just not the best
selection, price and not a lot of confidence in their
service. I learned how build to fix my own PC's. They had a
good return policy though but their prices on hardware is a
lot more than on the web, but so are most retail stores,
except maybe Fry's.
I don't live near a Fry's but I did go to one of their
larger stores several years ago. I thought it should be
called No Frills. A huge warehouse of a store that you could
spend the day browsing, very crowded and noisy with nobody
that has time or knowledge to help you. Maybe that's changed
now. Then you go to the checkout line that serpentines back
and forth. When you get to the front of the line you look
for an available checkout stand and way down at stand number
47 is the cashier waving to you. But yes its like a big
electronics candy store and I would probably go there just
to brows if I lived near one.

I bought my last prebuilt PC at BestBuy and it was a generic
brand but worked good and for a good price. Last electronics
I bought from them was some JBL speakers. I did a bit of
research on the web first so I had some info on the speakers
so I knew when I talked to the salesperson that they where
giving me some false information. It seemed they are also
trained to give certain sales pitches to make the customer
think they needed the fancy extra accessories to make
product work. Like overpriced Monster cables and $55 (8ft)
subwoofer cable. I don't trust the BestBuy salespersons tech
advice.
