Turning AA on at all is foolish on an HDR capable card.
Equally pushing AI up is nonsense. Better is edit config
for game to optimize. Very good comparison at native
resolution. 2% difference at optimum game settings.
Mwave and NewEgg have it at $310. I'm going to sell
my 7900 GTO for just enough to lower my investment
to $179 ... like I predicted I would get it for.
mmmm, why not buy the eVGA version of the 8800GT? The 675MHz
factory-clocked version is $309 at Newegg. Lifetime warranty (provided
you register within 30 days) and their 90-day step-up program, so if
you want to splurge on the imminent 8800GTS Mark 2 and return the
8800GT you only have to pay the price-difference (plus shipping). eVGA
has excellent customer-service and is the supplier to nVidia of all
their pre-production design-reference boards.
