Shipping is free and after tax, the total for me came out $224. I
purchased one and got the confirmation mail within minutes (ship date
is Dec 12, as the card is not in stock currently)
Really !?. I got a BFG 7800GTX at a bargain price from Dell a couple
of years ago.. However, it shipped a LOT later than their predicted
ship date........... I was not in a hurry, so it did not inconvenience
me. Let us know when you actually RECEIVE it....
I hope it comes soon. My X1900XT is already gone. I posted an ad at
CraigsList and the card was sold within a day. I had an old 8500 AIW
AGP card lying around and fortunately my motherboard takes both PCIe
and AGP.
I think, it's time to pick an old game from the back-log. Maybe it's a
good thing. I'll post here when 8800GT arrives.

What did you get for your old card if you don't mind me asking? I just
installed a XFC "Alpha Dog Edition" 8800GT clocked at 670. I also had the
X1900XT in my PC and this new card doubles my FPS in everything I've thrown
at it. I BM Crysis using the demos BM program, and with the ATI card I got
around 31FPS everything set to Med no AA V-Sync on at 1280x1024. With the
new card I can run the BM with everything set to HIGH!, same settings, and
I'm getting 41FPS. The demo runs very smooth. Also my 3DMark '06 score went
from 5,300 to 10,600. This is using XP, and a E6600 CPU, 2GIG's of 800 RAM.
The best part is how quiet this card is compared to the X1900XT. The ATI
card sounded like a small jet taking off whenever it ran a game. The 8800GT
sounds the same no matter what. And I do have the fan set to auto. I spend
$300 for my card, but I'm OK with it, because this card is AMAZING!
