Remember way back when everybody here make fun and laugh at PCGAMER
regarding his/her purchase 4 copies of Stalker (for his/her support
the game developers or whatever reason)

Well, I guess Valve kind of learned good thing from PCGAMER: that
gamer willing to purchase multiple copies of a game if they like the
game 'that' much. So basically, Valve will release only Orange Box
version of HL2 EP2 first and force gamers to buy HL2 + EP1 all over
again. Some will argue that they got a good deal because they only
purchase EP2 but at the same time getting HL2 + EP1 + whatever else
for FREE. No, it really not when considering:

-Estimate price of your old HL2=$40 + price of EP1=$20 + Price of
Orange Box=$40 (or so). Your HL2+EP1+EP2 package total of $100

-For a first time purchaser of HL2+EP1+EP2 will only need to spend $40
(or so) and basically get the same thing as you for less than half of
what you already paid - such a bargain.

So I guess that in the pursuit of new comers, Valve gives old fans of
HL franchise a shaft. Valve knows that even thought everybody
bitching and moaning, but they will bite the bullet and buy the Orange
Box anyway. Who would want to wait couple more weeks in order to
purchase each part separately as Valve's promised? But don't count on
it because if the Orange version is selling well, why Valve would
stupid enough to cut it's revenue by allowing people to purchase each
part for cheaper.

If this Orange Box model is sell well enough then Valve will probably
release a Pink or Purple Box for EP3 in the future (contains HL2 + EP1
+ EP2 + EP3 + whatever). I guess by that time, you guys probably
already own 3 copies of HL2 + 3 copies of EP1 + 2 copies of EP2 + a
copy of EP3.

So, PCGAMER is not that nutty after all. As the mater of fact, he/she
would have the last laugh.

Half empty, half full. Do we get free games, or do newcomers get it cheap?

Either way, I'm paying less than £10 each for 3 games I would individually
pay £15 or £20 for. I can then give the other 2 I don't need away.

What don't you understand about this?
