seems to me that ppl could buy the retail game off the shelf, then
apply all these cracks to it afterwards

But the point is. Why should we have to? We paid for the game, the
pirates didn't.

So then what do you suggest that they do make the game a public
download and then ask you to send the money in?

IMO the people who whinge and whine the most (Morgan here) are the ones
who would indeed steal the game.

Odd, mind explaining your reasoning behind that statement?

Hey why not you seem to find it perfectly acceptable to state you
opinion as fact so why can't Walt?

Because mine is based on actual knowledge and experience. Water's
wet. It's starting to get dark outside. I've got pint of beer in front
of me. I've played Medieval 2 today. I've got to go to work on Monday.
These are all facts. I know these are fact based on knowledge. System
Shock 2 is a better game than Bioshock. That is an opinion. Do you
understand the difference now?

Except your "fact" is fatally flawed. "Works" is a debatable
description. It does "work" for many criteria for which it was
designed. You seem to be intelligent and can put letters together to
make words. I wonder why you can't seem to accept the fact that you are
wrong on so many different levels.

Unless, of course, you mean "SW protection doesn't work" to mean the
simpletons understanding of it meaning "SW can not be cracked". All SW
can be cracked. All locks can be picked. It all depends on how much
effort someone wants to put into it.
