Not really any spoilers, but hey, some people here are quite sensitive
.
Its good to hear that people are finishing the game a week after release
because you tend to fly through good games. However it kinda worries me
that the game might be very short (but sweet). Is there any replay value
in Bioshock?
I am not the fastest at finishing games, but this one had me hooked. I
wouldn't say it's short, I would have put total gaming time for me at about
25-30 hours. I tend to take my time though, and mess with the nuances of the
game. Me finishing this in a week is extremely rare, but I did because the
game kept me going, and there wasn't anything too terribly difficult. Just
the way I like it.
I can see some replay value considering there are different ways to kill the
monsters, but the story is the same. I think it would be fairly easy for the
developers to come up with a decent expansion with about half the gameplay
time. Plus I hope that developers can use the engine as everything is very
beautifully rendered with nary a hiccup. I hear that it scales fairly well
with a few tweaks. I will test this out on my new laptop when I get it (Dell
Vostro 1500, 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 256MB 8600M GPU, 2GB RAM).
