Two words: Refresh Rate.

LCD doesn't need one, hence zero chance of eye fatigue from flickering. Yes, the better the CRT the higher you can bump the refresh rate, but still, one less thing to deal with.

I suffered a little fatigue when I got my LCD screen, but you get used to the brightness after a while and the strain goes away pretty quickly. You give and you take, no matter what type of monitor you choose.
