Yes, that is your fault. ;). Valve did not hype HL2 as being the Second
Coming neither did iD with Doom 3. It's the damn gaming press. Seriously,
ignore all the hype the gaming sites and magazines dish out. I ignore al the
previews and articles until a game has gone gold. Once it has gone gold then
I will read the updated previews and first impressions to see if a game is
worth getting excited for.

Don't let anyone get you down. You played HL2 and didn't like it. At least
you played it to form your opinion (even if I think you're a fool for not
liking it. ;) ).
