GeForce 4 MMX cards were *** when they were new; they were actually *less* capable than GF3 cards. Why would you expect anything from one at this late date? You can probably find a decent AGP card to replace that thing for less than $150. What's the problem?
So It looks like after twenty years of PC action I am going to say
goodbye. I see no reason to continue to upgrade for the games that
are released today. How many variants of FPS can one stand anyway?
Good question. ;-)
It was fun while it lasted but i refuse to keep investing in this
expensive approach to playing games. It's PS2 and Xbox (which I own
both) from now on. Looks lijke the new DX 9.0c which forces T&L and
particles are what all the new games require and my card is not up to
it.
So instead, you'll be buying new console systems every 3 or 4 years and playing "variants of FPS" games on your consoles. Ok. <shrug>
