I may end up standing myself corrected in this. I've had a few people tellNote the recommended - 512MB 3D Accelerator, and 9.9 GB Free DiskThat just makes it a bigger pile of shit. The controls absolutely suck
Space!!! Holy Crap!
Looks like this thing may actually come on two DVD roms! Thank God they
didn't decide to put it on 12 or 13 CD's!!!
rocks :(
I can't believe the developers haven't sorted out the control issue after
the last TR fiasco.
me I've evidently misplaced a control MODE or two... I'll get back into it
and see.
It was unfair of me to say the whole thing stunk. it doesn't. on my system
it does look pretty, but at a dx8 level, on parr with PS2 grade meshes and
textures. and the audio is excellent.
I doubt there is anyone who wants this game to work well more than I do.
I'm a PC Tombraider die hard from the beginning.
more on this later...
McG.
Ok, Gramps time for more of that thar Geritol. May calm you down a
bit.
We all know that you have a bleedin' edge system. However, great
graphics and great gameplay do not necessarily go together... Oblivion
an obvious recent exception. So, now let's hear more from you on
gameplay and less on the graphics....PLEASE ! Dx8 or less games can be
totally immersive, because the graphics FLUIDITY ( not polygon-count
or particle effects) and the sheer gameplay just draw you in. An
excellent example is AvP2 run on a modern machine. Or HL1, for that
matter. Not all of us spend our times playing action-games with our
noses pressed to the screen marvelling at the perfection of the AA and
counting pixels. Decent frame-rate and DX8 graphics is fine by me
in an action-game with a gripping storyline.
I am a big Tomb Raider fan also, since TR1 and its 3dfx patch.
Gave up on the last few, since the developers ran out of new ideas.
I have not downloaded TR:L demo, so please tell me how it compares
to the early TR classics. Any new ideas or just more jumping
puzzles ?
