Thusly Knight37 <knight37m@xxxxxxxxx> Spake Unto All:

Bit hard to keep that kind of feel when you're one of hundreds traipsing
through the bush and standing in line to kill the next target critter.

It's no different in GW tho. You're standing in town. In the global
channel
you got people screaming "NEED HELP ON SAVE THE EMPEROR QUEST!!!" The one
you just got through doing.

IMHO that's quite different than having people milling around the area
when you're actually doing the quest (and asking you "r u doin teh
emporer?"). And when you get there, you realize the badguy isn't there
because he hasn't respawned yet since he was slaughtered last, so you
need to wait for him to pop back into existence. Massive immersion
breaker.

Me, I really don't want irrelevant people around when I'm doing a
quest. Or their messages. Instances ftw!

As someone brand new to this type of gaming the above is what has always put
me off. Friends have talked about queues to get in the game, queues to
undertake quests, waiting for the badguy or objects to respawn etc and I've
always thought more fool them for wanting to pay for that priviledge. GW
suits me down to the ground and once my little group have their own copies
will be a worthwhile game to have.

Meanwhile.... where did I see that collector with the leather jacket.......?
