Wisely chosen. You will get no insults from me.
You've also just learned why it's a good thing to munge your email
address for use in public Usenet newsgroups. These newsgroups are open to
the world, and Google groups is not the only entity that archives them.
Permanently. Any and every one can use freely what is posted. Do yourself
a favor, and never use your real email address. At least, get a hotmail
addy that is seperate completely from your ISP provided email.
Pittsburgh should have a lot of 'mom n pop' type computer shops
throughout town. When you do choose a shop, ask to watch while they build
your rig. You'd find it an interesting experience. Your own general
ideas for the basic rig are good. DO get a decent video card. I'll
suggest a ATI X850XT or nVidia 6800GT level card. They're both great with
either AMD or Intel based systems.
I don't prefer 'brands'. I prefer what works.
Have a fun day tomorrow!
McG.
